A notice can be served by email if it is permitted in your contract. The conditions which apply to serving a notice to terminate an agreement are usually detailed in the Termination clause of your contract. Notices are usually served in writing but email is often accepted. However, conditions might apply to when notices are deemed to be received and accepted when sent by email. The date the notice is accepted will then impact when the notice period comes to an end.
