The minimum age for entering an employment contract is 18. Anyone under the age of 18 is considered a minor and can only enter a contract for limited purposes. In this situation it will be based on the nature of the transaction and whether the minor understands the nature of the transaction.

Contracts that are for necessaries, such as apprenticeship, employment, education and service which are for the benefit of the child are binding. (“Necessaries” include food, medicine, accommodation and/or clothing)
