Many non-disclosure agreements can be signed electronically, but the right approach depends on the document, the parties, the country involved and any internal signing policy.
An electronic signature can include typing a name, clicking to accept, drawing a signature or using an e-signature platform. For routine commercial NDAs, electronic signing is common. Some documents may still require extra formalities, witnesses or a different signing process.
Before signing, check who has authority to sign for each party and keep a reliable copy of the signed NDA with the date, parties and final version of the terms.
