Workers are entitled to a 20 minute rest break during their shift if they work more than 6 hours a day, although this break does not have to be paid. 

 

Workers are also entitled to an 11 hour break between each shift. For example, if you work till 9pm on Monday, you cannot be required to work until 8am on Tuesday.   

 

Workers are also entitled to an uninterrupted period of 24 hours of rest each week without work, or 48 hours each fortnight without work.
