About Revolut

Revolut was founded in 2015 and started off as an app which allows you to exchange currencies at interbank rates, send them through social networks, and spend with a multi-currency card. Since then, Revolut has $1.7B in funding and expanded their offerings to crypto currencies and stocks, positioning itself as the app for "all things money".

Why did Seedcamp invest in Revolut?

Revolut's founding mission was to eliminate the cost of spending and sending money abroad from the UK which in 2015 was estimated to hit $1.67bn. This is a problem Seedcamp's Sia Houchangnia could relate to when they made their first investment. Seedcamp were excited that with this new investment, more people will be able to spend money across the globe with zero fees.
