Revolut was founded in 2015 and started off as an app which allows you to exchange currencies at interbank rates, send them through social networks, and spend with a multi-currency card. Since then, Revolut has $1.7B in funding and expanded their offerings to crypto currencies and stocks, positioning itself as the app for "all things money".
Index were impressed by Nikolay Storonsky and his long-term ambition to create a financial services superapp. Moreover, "he is totally unflappable and never doubted his succss."
