Jurisdiction Clause

A jurisdiction clause explains which court or forum can hear disputes about a contract.

It is commonly used with a governing law clause. The governing law clause says which law applies, while the jurisdiction clause says where disputes may be brought. For cross-border contracts, both clauses should be checked before signing.
